Fisher Transportation, in Mount Pleasant, MI, is accepting applications for qualified Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Work is performed locally in the Mid-Michigan area, and primarily involves the transportation of bulk construction aggregate materials. Local route drivers are home daily. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have a Class A CDL.

Applicants should have an interest in one or more of the following: Tri-Axel Dump Trucks, Short Doubles, Gravel Trains, Flowboys, or V-Bottoms.

Experience is preferred, but not required.

Must have the ability to pass a DOT Physical and Drug Test.

Attendance is of the utmost importance.

Have the ability to take direction.

Have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work extended hours.

READY MIX CONCRETE TRUCK DRIVERS
Haulers of Ready Mix Concrete
The Fisher Companies Ready Mix Concrete Team has immediate openings for CDL Truck Drivers for front-discharge ready mix concrete trucks. All work is local to the Mid-Michigan area, and will be performed from one of the companies' 4 ready mix plant locations - Midland (Fisher Sand & Gravel), Mt. Pleasant (Central Concrete), Alma (Central Concrete), and Clare (Central Concrete).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive under the concrete batching plant hopper to receive the concrete mix.

Drive concrete to a predetermined job.

Assemble your concrete chute.

Discharge the concrete down the truck's chute as needed by the customer.

Clean truck after delivery in accordance with company standards.

Monitor and inspect mechanical operations of the mixer. Report any abnormalities.

Complete delivery ticket information in a legible and accurate manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Class A or B CDL, with a clean driving record

Experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
-
Must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work extended hours

Must work well in team environments, with the ability to take direction

Any welding, hydraulic, or mechanical experience is beneficial
COMPENSATION
-
Wages based on experience and performance. Motivated individuals can anticipate a wage increase after their training period. This will be discussed during the interview process.
